Causes of Acidosis

 

People have different acid tolerances.  Each must be attended individually when health problems occur.  The cause of acidosis, as mentioned applies in most cases.  However, they need not necessarily lead to illness as your lifestyle can be adapted in such a way that the flood of acids is neutralized.  It is in particular the chronic, latent acidosis that has a damaging effect.

 

The most important causes can be found in our lifestyle and nultrition:
 

  Nutrition
Addictive substances
Stress
Not enough water
Side effects of certain medications
Too little or too much activity
 

 

Different food categories are:

Acid-forming foods. 
These foods are not acidic themselves , but form acids during the metabolic process and digestion.

 

Acidic foods.
They are acidic themselves.  However, there is a difference - they may appear either as acid-forming or alkaline forming in the body.

 

Alkaline foods.
They are alkaline, however, the strength of the alkali does not reflect anything about the actual quality as an alkali-forming food.

 

Alkali-forming foods.
They themselves are not alkaline, but they possess a good alkali-forming and de-acidifying quality.
